My beach day essentials
I absolutely love going to the beach, and over the years of growing up in South Florida, I’ve developed my list of things that make my beach days awesome! This isn’t sponsored or anything; I’m just sharing what I love because we all could use some beach time!
- Beach Bag: I love the Nena and Co. voyager bag because it’s huge, has a zipper and several interior pockets including a water bottle holder, and it’s handmade. Besides the functionality, it’s beautiful and Nena is always dropping new fabrics, so it’s easy to find one you love.
- Sandals: My Madlove footbed sandals from Target are a summer staple three years running. I’ve got white, metallic, and leopard. They’re so comfortable, a great price, and perfect for walking in the beach because they give good support.
- Water bottle: I love my Swell bottles because they keep my water cold forever. Seriously, even in the hot beach sun. This is one gets used a ton on and off the beach.
- Organization & protection: I discovered Soulucean about six months ago and immediately fell in love with them. Their travel clutches come in two sizes and they’re great because they have a waterproof liner inside. I use the small one to carry things that can leak like sunscreen and bug spray. The big one holds my clothes and keeps them dry, and as a bonus, allows me to place my wet bathing suit inside and protects the rest of my stuff from getting wet.
- Beach towel: I’m sure you’ve seen Sand Cloud towel ads online because they seem to be everywhere! Back when my husband and I first started traveling to Europe, we discovered that Turkish towels were perfect. They are super thin and lightweight and dry really fast. We each had one and we would use them as blankets on the plane, and then beach towels when we got to our destinations. They are easy to hand wash and get softer with time! Our original Turkish towels were purchased on Amazon (great size for travel if you want to buy!), but I was excited to see that Sand Cloud has really cool designs and bigger sizes for beach getaways. This bigger size is perfect as a beach blanket and towel. The husband and I shared it on our recent beach staycation!
